  Se analiza la huelga metalúrgica de 1956, recuperando la intervención del gobierno militar sobre el mundo laboral y la negociación del convenio metalúrgico e incorporando el elemento de la identidad política de los actores sindicales que participaron en las negociaciones y en la huelga. Se trata de indagar diversas dimensiones y sus cruces, especialmente la relación entre lo gremial y lo político, para poder comprender las estrategias de los actores sindicales, haciendo foco en la de aquellos vinculados con una huelga insurreccional peronista.

• Abstract

  The 1956 metallurgical conflict, the historiographic approach and its debates, the military context, and particularly the political identity of the different metallurgical workers are analized. It is sought to investigate all the dimensions of the conflict, and their intersections, especially the relationship between unions and politics (focusing on those related to a Peronist insurrectionary strike) in order to give a more comprehensive reconstruction of the Argentine workers’ historic experience.
